After being off school for just over a month, July always seems to bum me out. I feel like my entire summer is over and I end up resorting to Netflix, there's not much point to doing anything else. In Florida it rains like the world is on fire and when it isn't raining, it's 500 degrees outside. The sunshine state isn't very fun when you're sweating from place you didn't even know you could sweat from. For me July always brings the summertime blues, where I miss the colder weather, the holidays, the hot cocoa, and (indoor) ice skating. This past spring break while everyone was hitting the beach, I headed out to Colorado and hit the slopes to catch one last feel of colder temperatures before endeavouring into the next six months that would consist of heat and more heat. While I was on the trip I had my camera in hand, ready to capture every moment so when July came around I would have photos to remind me that the world wasn't going to melt and winter would be on it's way soon enough. Well here we are four months later, and it's hot as could be outside, but here are a few of the shots that help ease my summertime blues, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Until next time.

Cow Appreciation Day
Free Chick-Fil-A? Absolutely! Yesterday was Cow Appreciation Day, a promotional project where if you dress up like a cow you get a free meal at Chick-Fil-A. And the universally accepted fact that Chick-Fil-A is the superior fast food chain had everyone in town breaking out the black paint. I would be lying if I tried to telling you that when I heard about free Chick-Fil-A I didn't squeal for joy. But let's be honest, who wouldn't get excited about delicious perfectly fried chicken sandwiches for FREE?? So I heard about the free chicken and texted everyone I knew to try and get a solid crew together. Of course not everyone could make it, but the very wonderful Emily, Tyler, and Marilyn gathered at my house and we started to cow ourselves out. We got together as much black paint as we could, found some white t-shirts and got to work. With some hard labor and a couple of moos we were the four cutest cows in town. We headed over to the Palm Bay Chick-Fil-A and walked in with the confidence of an unstoppable heard of cows, claimed our meals and enjoyed every bit of free chicken. We didn't stop there, since we were already cowed out we figured why not get as much free food as possible, so we all headed over to Melbourne Square Mall for free Chick-Fil-A round #2. Here are a few picture I took of them before we headed out on our free chicken journey. Until next time.

Little Miss Marilyn
I have some new pictures to share with you! Here are some shots of the very lovely Marilyn Costa, these were shot outside her house, it was a stormy night so we didn't get many shots in before Mother Nature pushed us back inside. When we headed back inside I got to play around with flash and indoor lighting that I'm a little more unfamiliar with. Some of the indoor shots didn't necessarily follow the photographic standards for a good photo, but I liked how they turned out because I think they really captivated Marilyn's personality. The pictures show a very pretty young lady in her natural habitat, a Marvel themed bedroom. I think this really encased her character, showing her feminine side and her superhero passionate side. Let me know what you think of my pictures, I would love some input! Until next time.

Kickin' Things Off
Welcome to Take Your Pic Photography Blog. I'm hoping this will become a home for me to showcase the photos I take. Everything I shoot is purely for fun, I'm definitely a beginner and I'm hoping to learn as I go. I've invested in a few books, and youtube tutorials have become my best friend, improvement is my essential goal. To kick things off I have a few flower shots, and I look forward to sharing much more with you. Until next time.
